Brookline Traditional Tudor

A spacious bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and exposed wooden beams. Features include a large bed with tufted gray headboard, white bedding, and multiple pillows. There is a bench at the foot of the bed, a lamp on the side table, and built-in window seats with cushions and pillows on either side of a stone fireplace with wood paneling and windows with decorative framing.

The Challenge

The homeowners fell in love with this Brookline Tudor — the craftsmanship, the woodwork, the architectural details. They love traditional style and old homes but had never worked with a designer before and weren't sure how to make the space work without feeling like "grandma's house."

We found a palette of blues, greens, and neutrals to balance the rich wood tones. Reflective materials bounce light around the space, keeping it bright and welcoming. Thoughtfully curated rugs add movement and energy. High-end French and Italian reproductions, custom furniture, and timeless lighting complete the look — pieces that feel as though they've always belonged.
