Already this kitchen is looking better. After the tile goes in, the cabinets go on top. Why spend money running flooring under cabinets? Each cabinet company, each stove and refrigerator have slightly different footprints. If you ever have to replace an item, you want the flooring to run all the way under, not just to where the item begins.
We found out after the boards went up that we had to move the plumbing line to behind the stove. (see the plumbing line, it’s near the corner) It’s a good thing that inspectors are there to make sure things are done correctly and safely. That was not a big deal though.
