Went to Brimfield with one of my designer pals, Shari. For those of you not familiar, Brimfield is a 3x a year giant antique and flea market show about an hour from Boston. It's filled with just about something for everyone. Need a canoe? Check. In need of a garden pig with wings made from metal and painted fun colors? Shari bought one of those. There's also really fun jewelry, art, vintage linens. Crap galore, but some great finds and great prices. Wonderful furniture. We had a great day. And the weather was just about perfect.
I bought a few cute, vintage necklaces (one for $10 and one for $15– bargain!) along with these really cool metal hands made from hip guys from ClevelandArt.com. They are about 20" high and were actual forms for gloves put on cog bases, also salvaged from a factory. Solid brass. Who needs candle sticks on the mantle? I got hands.
